Maggie Lively’s first experience with yoga was in high school. She did not like the yoga class at ALL but had no concept that there were so many styles of yoga. At age 17, knowing everything, she vowed never to try yoga again because she didn’t have time for boring stretches. It wasn’t until college when her best friend dragged her to a power yoga studio that she fully embraced yoga and has never stopped since.

Maggie’s passion for the practice led her to teach yoga full-time. Maggie Lively is a student first and is a dedicated practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga as taught in the tradition of Sharath Jois and Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. She maintains a daily Ashtanga practice with her teacher, Michael Joel Hall. She is inspired by her teachers’ service to their students which she strives to emulate.

Maggie has received training in Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Rocket Yoga. She enjoys teaching at multiple studios where she encourages students of all levels to challenge themselves.
